I see that Calvert has '65-66 (99204) listed as a different number than the '67-73's (99159).

I know that the lengths are different, but which would be most correct for my '71?

Either or both?

Mine is stock height in the rear and probably will remain so.

Listings for the KYB Gas-a-Just show '65-73 as proper fitment (doesn't differentiate year change) and the lengths (compressed and extended) more closely correspond with the early #.

I have not yet removed my existing shocks to measure.

 
I just installed the KYB GasAJust, they fit fine.

I'm wondering why the Rancho? Will you be racing? We were running a set on the 72 stock eliminator car and could not get the car calmed down with the Ranchos.

 
Doubtful, but I have a chance to obtain a pair of part numbers of choice.
