I'm trying to find if there are rear seat pan extensions for our 71-73 Mustangs. I've searched the forums, but haven't found anything. My searches of a number of vendors web sites also was a bust. This is the part of the floor under the rear seat. I've got the seat pans, but can't find the extensions. Are they available? Will I have to fabricate my own? Any help would be much appreciated.

The assembly where your passengers butt go are not eeproduced in anyway. I just went through this. Cut it out of a car or fab
Not what I wanted to hear, but what I was afraid of. Any way the ones from the 69-70's could be modified to work?

I don't even know where to start looking for a donor car around here, so fabing up the extensions, I guess, is probably the next step.

Yes it could. The ribbing would be wrong but it would work. I started to head that direction but my body man was able to repair it without heading that direction.

I had ordered a set of Mr. Mustang '66-'73 "intermediate panels" from CJ Pony parts back in Aug 2011 - M151L & M151R were the CJP part numbers.

They no longer exist on CJP's website, and I just checked Mr. Mustang's site and no go either. Although, the '66-'70 pieces look A LOT like the ones I'd ordered back then. The ribs didn't quite match up with the stock stampings, but it fixed the issues I had with my rear seat/floor pan area.

Top of the picture is the new piece I welded in BEFORE dropping in the full floor pans.

You might check with Mr. Mustang to see if they can fab up a pair for you.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. I may see about getting the seat pan extensions and modify them to fit the area I need to replace. The passenger side isn't to bad, but the drivers side is kind of extensive, but it think it might work.
If Don (OMS) can't find what you need, I might be able to help. Lo and behold - I actually still have the driver side piece I'd ordered, since all I needed to replace was the area above the torque box - and I simply shaped a flat piece of sheet metal for that (it's in the picture as well at the bottom).

Let me know.
