sport mirror location

Can any one tell me where first mounting hole goes in door?  The car had an after market set of plastic mirrors, there are several holes there now.  I'm putting stock remote adjusting mirrors on it.  I think the proper hole is at 7 3/4" from edge of door.

 Mine are at 7 3/4" as you have to the front hole. If you have a correct mirror, see if the back hole lines up with another on your molested door as it should.
