I did basically the same thing, I found some closed cell foam that was the same thickness, cut it to fit, and went to a local fabric shop and found some fabric that was almost identical to the original and it has been working great. I think the key is just a good heavy soft fabric.

I may have found the fix to the window stabilizer pads. I just received the Anti-rattle strip for the 68-69 F-Body camaros.

Hi, do you have an update on how it all worked out?  It looks like you're on the right track!  

I need to tackle this same project in the next few weeks.

Hello Scott,

I will work on it this weekend. The weather is finally starting to cooperate. I would almost suggest to get two strips to do the four pieces.
