My Car
1971 M-code Grande
My car came with, according to Marti, a "9" rear end.

3.25 standard axle ratio.

Currently has a 2.75 posi, but with the new engine I am

hanker'n for a 3.25 again. Something I can use on mountain

roads. Not necessarily posi but should at least be limited slip.

Any suggestions on what to look for?

To me the 350 ratio is the best with a 4 speed

325's would also be good for you as it is a daily driver too.

I'll see what I have, but I think I have either one in limited slip

Don

I agree with Don. I have a 3.25 trac-loc behind my 4-speed M-code and think it is perfect. I've also driven my buddies 4-qpeed Q-code 3.50 t-loc rear. I didn't notice that much difference. Both felt like the perfect rear ratio.

In my car with stock size 235/70r15 tires I'm at 3000 rpm at 70 mph.

Don, did you see my PM about ps & ac parts?
