For you DIYers, I had to do some bodywork on my hood, and thus needed a repaint. So being the kind of guy that likes to do things myself (cheap, I didn't want to spend a bunch of $$$ for a template) I found a diagram for the black out. the easy way to get symmetry, is to just tape the curvature, and make a quick template of some light paper or vellum. Then just use the hood edges as a
locator and trace the curve. Now you can just flip it, and match the other side perfectly. I can't say how accurate the diagram is, but this is my driver, so accuracy is not imperative. This is really just a how-to if you need to do anything symmetrical on your car.
