like the post said I kinda have the 466 in the motor mounts are bolted down and it fits ... but my power steering gear box wont go back in even after snatching the 72 isolators to sub-frame :( but xoliex said the block still needs to be spaced up to fit so I'll try that.

Thank you I think so too ... I didn't realize the picture of my dog in mister 4x4's car made it on here lol now I need to figure out which picture I left out

Wow, there's not much breathing room. So even with the right motor mounts, it's not a direct drop in? How much extra work was/is necessary?

Looking good, that thing is going to be a monster, can't wait to see and hear the finished product. From the photos is appears changing the plugs will be a real challenge.

xoliex said all he did was space it up with some washers which looks like it would work cause it's close right now as is .

The only hard to get one is the second closest to the firewall on the drivers side It's only a little bit bigger for external dimensions then the Cleveland and it is the headers that are having trouble clearing not the block itself.

Auron,

What mounts are you using ? Are they big block torino or full size ford ? Are you using the Cleveland perches ? If so, and not the actual 1971 Mustang 429 items you may be having issues. I installed mine with 71 429 mustang items and have no issues with power steering box or exhaust.

Thanks, Jay

The block plates and Isolators are the 71 429 types and the plate that goes from the subframe / crossmember to the isolator where my 73 but xoliex said to use the ones out of my 72 parts car and now it bolts down but it still needs to be spaced up according to him

Ok, so all I have to say is Holy shit that's a big engine.

I'll take the ding on reputation, but s***...that's a big engine. Awesome man, congrats. I can't wait to hear that thing fire up. That thing can eat my 289 and 302 for lunch.
