Wasn't in my Mustang but I pulled a well petrified dog off the top of a muffler I was replacing on a '74 Camaro. The owner said she'd thought she'd hit a dog several months prior and stopped to check. Not finding it she dismissed it thinking that it got away. It hadn't.

Wasn't in a Mustang, but my 1970 GTO always had a funny smell when you turn the heater on. Had to replace the heater core and pulled this all apart:

Several rolled joints in the defroster tubes and a used condom, yeck!

I am the original owner, but when i restored the car in mid-90s, I found some rosary beads under the rear-seat carpet. Must have been from the factory.

Not my 73, but I bought a used Town Car and when cleaning it up inside I found a nice Montblanc Pen that originally sold for over $200. It also had an old cell phone under the seat too.

An old friend of mine used to deal in used Mustang parts, specialising mainly in '65-'66. This was back in the 1990s. I ran across a scruffy (but complete) 6-cylinder '65 Mustang hardtop moldering away in back of one of those "We Tote The Note" used car lots. The manager said he'd take $250 for it. I called Bob and told him about it, and he rushed down there the next day with his trailer and made the purchase. A few days later when he was taking apart the dash, underneath the remains of the cardboard glove box insert he found $125 in cash! Did he share any of that with me? Nope.

Under the carpet I found a match book, zippo type lighter, interior clips, and cigarette butts.. Also the build sheet.

I found the build order under the front seat of my car. So I know when it was born!

I also keep $100 hidden in each of my vehicles. Sort of like the PIN money that Maverick had in the old TV show.
