Spent about an hour surfing the interwebs looking for white/black comfort weave upholstery for my 72 convert and of course not finding any. My original upholstry is separating on the drivers seat despite my gluing supporting material underneath. Seriously considering going with the Sprint white with blue insert seat covers instead. The all white ones just don't look right and I think the white & blue interior would look OK with a red car. What do you guys think?

71 Machlady...nice CAR!

I actually have something to add! I pulled the dash for a much needed search and repair of final wires the idiot I bought the car from decided to cut. Fixed quite a few wires and me and my old solder gun are experienced with wire lol.

Ordered my tilt column for 73 and arranged trucking for my 73 vert to come from Reno to N.C.. What a pain have been trying to get here since before Christmas. They all say they can and they do not do anything.

David
David-

Where did you get your tilt column from? Thinking it would be a good idea to put on in ours.

Hi mstng,

i really love the white / black comfort weave look a lot, but i also love my straight off white leather look vinyl big time as well. At the end of the day, it's what you want to do that matters.

I tried to remove the broken bleeder from the right front caliper, I did, but went to far, seat is damaged:(

Disconnect the left caliper and could remove the bleeder.

I am lucky, EddyW found for me the RH caliper, it's not the first time he helps me,

+1 for him :)

NOTHING but crank her up move her out of the garage so I could put my new Rancho 9000's on the F150. Rockauto is awesome. I ordered the 5000's which I've used on several trucks. They were out of stock and sent me the 9000 for the SAME PRICE:D

oh I really wasnt in the mood to change the shocks this afternoon. So I thought, heck i'll just call up the Firestone...let them do it. I already have the shocks...no big deal right? 140.00 to install MY SHOCKS....I laughed at him and thanked him. GOT REAL MOTIVATED for 140.00!!!!

Got the package tray fillers that I got from cudak888 installed. We covered them with the carbon fiber vinyl that the headliner, sail panels and package tray are done with

Finishing off the interior, finally!

We got a Grant wood steering wheel which came in yesterday. It was sanded last night, stain ebony this morning and then received three coats of polyurethane satin. We like the wood look but it went with nothing on this car

Wheel looked go when we got it but just wouldn't really go

I finally got rid of those porn style zinc plated shock tower braces and shock mounts.

I've had them media blasted and powder coated satin black.

Here's a before pic from when the original engine was in the car.

Here's what it looks like now: (Sorry, just noticed that the pic is kinda blurry)

It looks much more spectacular on the first pic but they had stained over time and in real life the black looks much better.

I went to storage to see what I needed for heater system for 72 vert. I discovered I need everything he was converting to air and I do not like air so I needed everything from the fresh air vents, ducts and heater box, controls. I will probably have some air parts for sell in the summer.

Car wouldn't start, battery was charged. I figured it could be the starter solenoid, I'd been wanting to replace that for a while anyway. Ordered one from rockauto for $24. Installed it today... Still wouldn't start. Pulled the main wire into the dizzy and the clip had broken. Ran to advance auto and bought a one wire accel kit, changed the plug and now it starts. Does anyone know where I can get a custom wire done??

I also changed the spark plugs on our DD, a 2005 Volvo S60 2.5T. It was actually real easy. I should have also changed the coil packs. I ordered them today... Rockauto. Will hopefully get them before next weekend.

New convertible top motor. Not hard to install but a bit of a pain. Tight spaces. I am not a young man anymore (and haven't been for a while).

I am impressed by this thread. We have a lot of folks who do their own work. Hats off to all of you.

Removed the Torker-2 intake fr my '73 Mach-1 and installed an Edelbrock Air Gap. It seems to run a little rich but already idles better..
