Got a floor console from ebay it was cheap and kinda trashed.

It had a couple bad cracks in the usual places and PO had drilled a

bunch of holes in it for gauges or switches idunno.

I fiber-glassed the cracks on the backside and modified it to work

with my B&M shifter box. I cut the shifter box down and grafted

it onto the console with fiberglass.

I put the original console shifter bezel aside to use when I convert

the car to a manual trans. The B&M shifter box can be cut off and

the proper shifter bezel can be installed when the time comes.

The center arm rest sure is nice and a bonus is the center seat belt

ends stay up now and you don't have to dig for them.

I know you ppl like photos the interior is almost complete. I have an ashtray cover coming from OMS

and seat upholstery is next!

Figured out why my car shaked so much. Good news... I got the vibration worked out. Belive it or not a shop had the wrong u joint on the rear of the drive shaft.

Pried the keys out of mama hands so I can take a look at a possible transmission fluid leak, I hope I don't have to dust off my transmission tools and do a rebuild on another FMX. I have rebuilt soooo many transmissions over the years and after 2-300, you get alittle burnt out, oh yeah, I get to wash it for her

I finally buttoned up the rest of my new interior!! Had to weld in new rear floor pans and replace headliner and carpet and many small interior pieces!! Not to mention complete new brake system, suspension system, and many little repairs throughout. Now just front clip, engine, and cinching down wiring harness left to do. All since Oct. 2014, been a long hard winter!!

I built a floor easel for the hood and got that lifted out of the way. Drilled holes for the proportioning valve and installed it, and drilled the 1inch dia hole for the fuel line to enter on the drivers side fender apron.

Brake lines are now connected from the proportioning valve out to the wheels. I guess I can bleed the master cylinder and install that next. Any good advice on filling an empty brake system and not washing all the paint away from the restored wheel areas?

My hood looks really cool too!

I used a power bleeder. It's a one person operation when you use this and you don't have to bench bleed the master cylinder.

Changed the two ujoints, refill up the Toploader. Need now to flush the brakes, I removed all the inside of the master cylinder and set a new kit.

went to a swap meet, found a pop open gas cap, original 1970 vintage, a little faded in the emblem, but otherwise innice shape $75.00

came back and decided to go ahead with my 1 wire alternator upgrade. Got it done with no problem other than needing a 3/4" shorter belt. Measured output of 14.7 at idle and elsewhere. Cleaned up some wiring in the process.

Scoped the inside on my 350 boat motor for any corrosion before I try and finish up the install (it has been sitting a few years) All looks fine.

And I picked up a freshly rebuilt 366 BBC dump truck motor and most of the necessary accessories to go in my CJ-5 project!

and that makes my weekend complete!

Got modified ram air on and some other under hood touch up. Heading to the exhaust shop tomorrow to get Magnaflow builder kit with X pipe built and installed

Looking really nice, make sure you post a video with the exhaust sound. Hoping my RAM Air conversion comes out as well as yours did.

BTW, how do you like the EFI system that you installed?

Lastly, where did you get the tube for the air snorkel heated air feed?

thx

I know it's not "correct," but I'm diggin' the body colored engine bays in some of these cars.
Our 73 Cougar convertible is all original and the engine blends into the compartment so much. We wanted more pop from the Mach and the pewter seemed to work well under hood. Kind of a mix of original look and custom

Thanks, we will be sure to get the video posted. Haven't fired it up yet so can't say much on the EFI yet. Still need to rig up a kick down as there is nothing on this. I need to check on where we got the tube, I think NAPA but I will confirm
