When I took the bumper off the bumper shocks both leaned out and said "AHHHHHHH"

No bolts were injured removing them I just moved them in and out a few times and they fell off along with 6 inches of frame side. If yours was worse than that, I already know what you went through. Nice job!!

Finished sanding the crappy paint job, the car is in primer...again.

Glad I sanded it down, he sprayed over surface rust and all.

If you want it done right, do it yourself

I attempted to start my 73 H & Q code cars. It's been a long while since they've been ran...years actually. I couldn't get either to turn over. I think it was several reasons. Not really trying to get them to run per se...just playing around.

Thanks Robert for the moral support and help this afternoon.

Your Welcome Don, anytime i can help will be glad too. Would have been interesting if they had fired off, but anything is possible in Mustang Heaven :D

You know Don, you can call me anytime if you need me to drive your cars for you. My pleasure.
Thanks! Come help me get them all running first though. Each is in various states of need. But like BT says they are never really done.

WHAT, YOU GOT 30% OFF??????????????? Steve is gonna hear from me LOL! Awesome deal bro! I unpacked mine and jumped on the rear louvers for the 1971. Louver mounts been sitting now for over 24hrs, so it was time to mount the louvers per Astra's instructions. Got it installed and drove about an hour with it and didn't have any issues with rattling or badly obstructed vision. The brand I got from CJ is Astra Hammond. It's the 2 piece type and made out of aluminum. Installation was simple and quick. The trunk will not hit if installed properly. I made sure to push it as close to the top window trim as possible and here is the end results. Sorry for the shitty pics, but left the home during day light and night was on me when I got to my destination.

All in all, I like it, but there is a couple of things I'm not happy with, but can live with it.

1) Instructions says center screw was not aligned on purpose and was done this way to pull the two pieces together. Mine actually pushed them apart :( Look at pic #2 and take notice of the center edge of the louvers. You'll see a little 1/8th inch gap.

2) Gap at the bottom of louver and window trim. See pic #2. I've seen other louvers online that don't have these minor problems. These are minor and I can live with it, but thought I'd give my feedback and let yall know.

Other than that, I like it a lottttt and will have them on all the Mustangs I do.

Started priming the front end parts when my wife said to get ready for the hurricane by putting the plants in the garage. I made the mistake of trying to inject humor by saying " little rain, lotta wind, no big deal. Besides, I'll just have to move them again Saturday". Hospital visiting hours are from 8:00-6:00 :p

I finally bled the brakes today, for what I THOUGHT would be the last time, but it looks like I did something wrong, because I still don't have any brakes. Imma get it tomorrow if its the last thing I did.

I also went to the Food Lion Auto Fair at Lowes Motor Speedway, pics coming soon.

Did you get fluid out of all 4 bleeders before closing the bleeders?

I like the louvers! How about some pics showing more of the car with the louvers to see the overall look of them.

Btw, The small gap would irk me.

Broke it... umm slowly approaching a turn while obeying all traffic laws ;). One wheel doesn't steer anymore, I limped it home and parked in the garage then closed the door behind me lol. I'll fix it next week, I'm busy putting a nitrous kit on my daily driver .

New windscreen in mine yesterday at $AU560 (about $US540).

The windscreen that was in it wasn't technically unroadworthy but it was far from perfect too. Huge difference clarity; in fact it's so clear that I keep damaging my fingernails when I try to reach through in child-like wonderment to touch the hood :p

You can see on the rego sticker on the bottom right of the windscreen that the Hunchedback Longtailed Rat is our official State emblem......

Don,

I'm no perfectionist and nor will I ever pretend to be. Don't wanna be one either cause that's just a setup for insanity LOL! I've come to accept that my/our cars are 40+ years old and with that in mind, gaps and rust will be a part of all our cars. It would only irk me if the rest of the car was perfect and it'll never be off the showroom floor perfect :D Don't have that kinda cash or talent
