Put the new fuel tank in along with the new KYB Gas-A-Just rear shocks. No pics as I'm out of a camera at the moment.

Installed the drip rails with the proper screws and buffed and polished them to a new finish. Took all of my screws out of the bags and seperated them by type which helped me to figure out what goes where. Tomorrow I will post a photo for future reference so the next time someone screws up they will have the post for a screw guide.

Hey Droptop73, My 71 Mustang is the momma's car and my daily summertime driver, Just saying, lol.

Although to answer the question: As I was coming home from the car show last night, it developed a tendency to stall as I was going around corners. Was told it could be a sticking carburator so I will be looking into that today.

Hey... It's good to see more Michigan folks on here. We seem way under represented on here.

Are you going to the Musclecar show at Gilmore next weekend? If so I'll try to look for you.
Yes!!! We will be there, are you bringing your 73? There are usually so few of our cars there.

Got the back of the car all blocked up and Blastered all the bolts to get the shocks, rear end, and exhaust out. Picking up frame in morning.

Worked on the carburator the late morning-early afternoon, thought we had it then put the air breather back on started down the road and it died twice before getting it to the freeway. ugh

Welcome any ideas. Holley 645 4barrel. We have checked for vacume leaks adjusted: air flow, idle and raised the idle rpms to between 5 and 6.

throttle has like a dead spot: seams to hesitate when first giving it gas then catches and jumps.

I started with trying to fix my doors, well you guys seen the pics on the doors and I am looking for new ones.

Then I though I could strip the trunk lid so that its ready when the car get put back together, well you guys seen the pics and its full of holes so i am going to buy a new one.

Started to work on replacing the tail light panel today, pulled the gas tank, cleaned it up and though that i would paint it up so that its ready when i put the car back together.

I was pumped because this was going to be the first thing on the car that would have been restored!

Well the top of the tank is full of pin holes.

I guess i am going to buy one of them too.

Installed the new door felts on all 4 locations and then both front door panels. Decided that the rear panel felts still look like new so will keep the new ones for later. Used my gallon of edead v3 on the roof of the car (4 coats) and rear wheel wells in the trunk. Sound deadening completed in the trunk and will finish the deadening of the car monday when the deadening foam comes in. Cleaned all door panels with bathroom cleaner in preperation for installation when the speakers come in. Cant wait until tomorrow.

I did this yesterday. :)

Along with putting in a new starter.

What a coincidence - I got my floors in as well [finally]. I still gotta go back and grind, clean, seal, and apply Rust Bullet, but I'm just happy to finally have 'em in.

A little late, but I was busy the last two days.

Saturday I took part in the "Dexia Classic Tour". That's a rally like tour through the country with a roadbook and some tasks to be performed like "Drive a given distance in a specified time" etc.

It's open to all classic cars and there were 120 of em, E-Type Jags, Aston Martins, Alfa Romeos, Porsches, Lamborghinis, Chargers, Beetles even a 1934 Plymouth!

Needless to say that although there were a few classic Mustangs, mine was the only 71-73 there.

It was fun, as usual.

Didn't make it into the top 3 though. I'll get the final result in a few weeks.

And, sorry Roy, I don't have pics.
