I took a leaf blower and blew off all the leaves on all the cars from tropical storm Lee...no small task with 3-4 days of wind & rain. The sheet of plastic I placed below the windshields and over the cowl kept all the insides dry. :)

Bought parts car # 4 a 73 coupe. More like I bought a nice right door and a car came with it. I bought it for the R/T door and quarter window regulators, cowl pics and bonces a 93 A.O.D trans. The only rust on this car is very little around tail lights.

Sometimes you just have to make a decision and move on. Going to see what it takes to get a TITLE FOR THE PARTS CAR. Just ordered the Marti for it and will post it in a day or so. Frame man I think convinced me today without realizing it. It is going to be a lot more work, but what the hell I got the welder and the time. Also got my trim tool along with some replacements for my aging air tools. 1/2 in impact, die grinder and 3/8 wrench. Blamed it on Steve :p

Four 71-73 mustangs...that's respectable. :D

You may not have known this but after you get 3 they will double in another month's time. Looks like it's already happening for you. Congratulations!

Started prepping the engine bay for new plugs/wires/cap/rotor/dist/MSD/Radiator/hoses.

Pulled the rear brakes apart. I'm surprised the car stopped as well as it did. Original shoes/hardware. Hard line was kinked almost shut on the right side, rusted, and broke. Ordered up new hardline for the whole car. It's the safe thing to do. I don't think the wheel cylinders were very functional...

Finally got my 72 coupe to fire with 5.0 EFI power now, just need to clean up the wiring and get a nine inch and a driveshaft.

Pulled the broken windsheild out and spot tested a patch of undercoating with mar-hyde Tal-Strip II aerosol. Read on another sight to let it completely and it would wire wheel right off. NOT!! Probably the second time though.

Going to start sanding the cowl and around the windshield this evening.

Didn't do anything to the stang today, got flack all week becuase I was in the garage every day.

So today I fix the rear breaks on the wifes Mazda.

Didn't want to because the mustangs is in my garage, so I brought it in.

They wanted $500 to put rear pads, rotors and calipars!

Ended up doing it my self for about $120

Its funny how some mechanics can fix things anymore, they just start replacing parts until they get it!

May have dumbed on to something this evening. Now my wife is the first ever machine tender in papermaking history according to Papermakers Magazine. To know every part and function of a machine 12 feet wide by a city block long is pretty impressive. She also bought me my 73 Chevelle and helped me for 2 years getting it going.

While she was checking on her mother, I went out and started sanding and decided to hit the primer and surface rust with my DA and some 180 grit.

When I put this car in the garage her quote was "This is the good one?" and walked out.

However, when she got home today seeing the Mach and the metal she said "WOW, That is in nice shape!" Now could be she's wanting new living room funiture, but I'm thinking a quick DA on the dirt and surface rust did me a whole lot of good on this project.

Nah, she is having an affiar. Anytime a woman starts appreciating your car and its your wife, you better start paying more attention to her.

Dude!! not this one. She did the entire interior. Re-dyed and re-upholstered the seats. Woman is A+,(So glad you brought this up) She really did a quality job. Not that I'm proud or anything. :p

Wow, nice looking seats and you have to appreciate a wife that likes your car. Mine actually helped me install my ram air kit this evening. She had no idea what it was but she helped hold it up while I installed the screws. BTW I am going to write an article on that this week. Just incase any of you want to install the ram air kit. You seats look damn good. What was the paint you used if you do not mind me asking?

Guys that's cool about your wives helping you...mine however likes Mustangs, doesn't help with them but let's me have nine of them at one time. Lol :d

She actually took the old back ribbon to work to sew it back on on their big needle machine we use on her machine to sew felts because the new material doesn't supply it. Swivel buckets are tough to do and she took them apart and added padding 3 times until she got it where it filled it out right (had to buy extra hog rings). Their Perfect. She cleaned all the panels with soap and water, Then simple green. and rinsed again with water. Finished off with Dupli-color Vinyl and Fabric.
