O OMS Vendors Joined Jul 22, 2010 Messages 4,564 Reaction score 173 Location ohio My Car xxx Jun 12, 2018 #3 You have an early 71 seat There were 3 types of hinge covers 1st - had no hole just a snap in plastic tab [ looked like a plastic drywall anchor ] very early design 2nd version - had a screw going through the tab 3rd version - is the current screw on type The early covers are hard to find. You can epoxy a wall anchor to the back of the plastic trim - they never stayed on well though Then you need to cut off the screw head and glue it in place to fill the hole in the plastic It been a while but I think you and push the plastic as far down as possible then mark , drill and tap a new hole since it is offset
