Can anyone identify this sound? I thought it might be a belt. But concerned it might be something else.

Sounds like power steering belt. Trying turn wheels or rev engine changes load. Does the noise change?
'Bearings'...or shaft in steering pump
Also seen alternator belts squeal when lights turn on. But not that loud.
Or a turkey got into your engine?
Actually I'm now thinking water pump?

I'll start with new belts and see where it goes from there. Yeah water pump was my first thought. But I was hoping it wasn't that.

Put a stethoscope on it, you'll zero in on the noise in no time. Before replacing the belt, spray some "Belt grip" on them to see if it quiets down.

Spray some water on the belts if it goes away it's the belts

Never stops amazing me how we jump off the bridge and it's something simple. I've done my share of fearing the worst.
