Nice driver. Long term plan is to modernize to make a comfortable reliable daily driver.
Ok. I would like your opinions on engine cover options for my Gen 3 engine swap in my 73 Mach1. I’ve taken 3 photos with mock ups. Photo 1 is Gen 3 batwing engine cover as it comes from Ford Performance. Note there are no coil (faux valve covers) since the batwing is so wide. Photo 2 has Gen 2 coil covers (blue) and the large Gen 3 batwing on top. Photo 3 has Gen 2 coil covers and Gen 2 engine cover. Your preference is requested?

I’m leaning toward Photo 2 with parts of the engine cover painted a matching color to the coil covers.

My preference would be the third one. I still like the engine to look like an engine, not something hidden like the gen 3 option. That might look ok in the gen 3 Mustang, but not in this one.
I realize the the open runners can and will collect dirt and harder to clean, but it still looks like an engine, not a piece of art.

Of the 3, I vote the last one. For the same reason as above. Everybody knows there's an engine somewhere under all that plastic. I'd rather see the motor than the plastic cover.

I like option three also. Will the gen 2 coil covers work on a gen 3? Maybe will a little modification they will.
