Really? You have a set? What condition are you looking for? And are you trying to have them shipped or go pick them up?
I have a set down here in GA that are driver quality. There's paint on the front and surface rust on the back. They could be cleaned up with evaporust or sand blasting. You'll pay more to ship them than the price to buy them.![]()
I was mistaken. When I went back and looked, mine are 14".Really? You have a set?
If the OP passes on them let me know, I've been looking for a while now...
Was there anything special about the 15" wheels from the mustangs? I went out and looked and my 69 t-bird has 15" steel wheels on it. I pulled off the hub cap and was able to put the mustang dog dish on it. The tire size says 225/75r15. The spare tire is the same size.
I just checked with a tape measure and its 5x4.5.Your T-bird should have 15X5.5" wheels.
I think I misunderstood when you said 15x5.5. I was talking about the bolt pattern, not the width. The tires on these are 225, which is 8.8". But either way, not the elusive 70-72 ones with the more solid center section that folks are after.
Hey Dennis is this the setup you are running on your car? I bought a pair of the 62's in 15x7 and wasn't thrilled with how the Ford trim ring fit- it seemed to hit the wheel center before the edge got flush to the rim. This makes me think the default offset of the Wheel Vintiques rims is a little more positive than the OE Ford wheel was. I haven't ever been able to confirm the backspacing of the Ford rim. Maybe its the same as the OE Ford 14x7 rims....For those that don't need factory Ford original unobtanium wheels, the Series 62 Wheel Vintiques steelie will accept the dog dish cap and the (if you can find them) the specific trim ring for the 15X7 wheel.
