Looking great! Won't be long now. Keep the updates coming.
Thanks Don, good progress and great to now be rot free with the majority of the modification work taken care of, still a long way to go getting the Jag engine sorted but keeps the momentum going! Managed to get hold of some very rare (especially here in the UK) fibreglass wing/fender moulds. They are being sent to a specialist recommended by Scott and look forward to seeing how they turn out.

So.... Long overdue update!!

As with all projects they evolve as fresh problems and hurdles appear along the way... In my desire to have Rack and Pinion steering and with our first attempt failing a more complete solution has been undertaken. I will let the photos do the talking but essentially having bought a fresh donor car my Mustang will now be RHD, Automatic not manual and will have a full interior and dash from the donor Jag including (hopefully) electric heated seats, Cruise control, climate control, ABS, and anything else that can be made to work and transferred from the Jag...

Engine will be swapped from the running donor so will still be an Eaton Supercharged 4.0 straight six but now with GM4L80E gearbox and all Jaguar ECU and running/wiring.

Wow your not joking around when it comes to the metal work. Takes a real artist to do all that.

Can't wait to see the end result.

Thanks! Did not have so much Jag in mind when we started! Overall is the best way to get what I want and the running gear/swap is much easier this way.

Nice Jagstang......

Floorpan swapped and almost ready to weld up.... Wheelbase looking good and have retained the top of the Mustang inner wings so everything will bolt back up. Will need to see what the ride height is like with engine and gearbox weight in place.

STOP!! With a body like that you'll make every Jag jealous lol. That really is a great idea. Gonna be a sweet riding and sexy car. Very smart. True hot rodding.

Thanks Angelo! A bit of an extreme measure but lined up so well and dimensions looked like they were designed to fit!! Overall this makes a much easier install of the Jag engine and box and gives the ability to bolt everything in as it was designed in the Jag.

Some great builds on here at the moment and can not wait to get mine further along, good progress again recently and with the floor in we can think about the finished product...

More updates soon!!

So after measuring and tinkering the front floorpan, bulkhead and inner wings are now in place and welded.... There is still some stitching together to be done but now have a JagStang!!! Propshaft to be shortened next!

:coolphotos:In a manner of speaking, had and always will have future plans for making mine the ultimate ride. And got so much parts leftover from one modification to the next in my garage, am just starting to advertise for sale. From this thread, MCA, AACA, and a Pittsburgh Mustang Club. Will attempt to plugin my very first video of it's performance on the road which sounds like with your plans for a 6 cylinder supercharged, be similar on the road, as for me, w/an Edelbrock Performer Air Gap 4 barrel Intake Manifold onto a modified q code from hydraulic lifter to the solid and an upgrade from 8.6 to 9.5 compression as well a 3.5:1 rear axle ratio onto it's ltd slip posi, though w/245x60x15x8" tires and the 15" wheels opening up further with a 700cfm Holley Avenger MPEFI to 400hp and controlled by the Hurst 'wide ratio' 4 speed to the Ford Toploader tranny, w/the Cleveland will not have your gas mileage, if you lighten your ride, of courseps-oh well, jest could not get around the mustangs.com's system and sneak the video clip here. However, if you look under Michael Kohan, Latrobe, PA on facebook(also where this site was invented, established, and maintained, to date) you can see the video I took from my 'near sided' camera as everything outside of my mustang is outta focus (and unfortunately not from going so fast but that the camera had to have it's aperture wide open, ie, to get enough light in as being so dark out, when it was taken)Ps, too bad you weren't on this side of the puddle, per se, re: take her down to Shelby's farm in Texas and have an intercooled bi-turbo put on it w/power clutch and.......

Great build and thanks for taking a look at my project. Had to be different being this side of the water!

Stitching the inner wings together to retain the original bonnet/hood hinges. Scott has been doing an awesome job making it all fit and look like it was meant to be there! Will be strange seeing the Jag inner wings under the stock hood together with parts of the original Mustang....

More to come!

More photos to share.

The floor/bulkhead and Jaguar parts are now in place and the fit is amazing! Not perfect so Scott is working away making it all come together. Next step has been trying to fit the Jag dash, as the car will have most of the Jag wiring and therefore control units from a 1996 car we can use most of the controls and features.

Really pleased with the progress and exciting seeing parts being trial fitted! A huge undertaking by Scott to swap the floors but the outcome could not have been better so far. R+P steering, matching brakes front to back and the ability to wire it all up with ABS, Cruise control, working climate control and many other luxuries. The other huge benefit is that I can source and buy replacement service items, bearings, brakes for a very good price for Jaguar parts in the UK.

Thanks! As is your build, awesome work and quite a challenge!!! Finished car will look amazing and can not wait to see your project progress.

Final bracing now removed from the floorpan swap and all looking good. A rolling shell and so pleased with the results, a bit of an unusual approach and am sure some Mustang purists will not approve but brings the car right up to modern specs. Can not wait to see peoples reactions when they see a big six under the hood.

Yes it's a great feeling when it starts to work out and come together. As for the purists , they have their agenda and I respect that. Those of us with a further vision and a need to express ourselves , delve into the deeper realms of hot rodding, most can appreciate that too. Don't worry , your not alone, wait till they find out I'm leaning towards stuffing a small block Chevy into my mustera, lol . I for one , GET IT ::thumb::

Glad to see how you got it to work. Big hurdle behind you. Much to look forward too.

Yes big hurdle and so much to look forward to!! Need to get my paper out and render some ideas for the finished look.

More progress and photos of the tidying up and stitching everything together. Support bars removed and looks great!

Thanks Lars! A lot of work and pleased with the result! Proper power rack and pinion, more modern suspension and the ride quality of a Jag with a modern 4.0 straight six!

Wow that is so awesome work ?[THUMBS UP SIGN] Regards Lars

So I'm a proud owner of one Mach 1 73! Regards Lars DK73 ?

Well I'm so jealous of what you can do with your car's in America! [WINKING FACE] Wee can't do much to them. Wee shall keep them as originall as possible. But I am inspired by how many people are given us there version of the Mustang 71-73 😎[THUMBS UP SIGN] Regards Lars
