1971 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD for 351c

Single piece unit in 71. Part No D1AZ-9A603-A.  Fits 4bl 351c.  PO tossed when he installed headers back in the 80's.  Probably the same time he threw away the Autolite 4300D spread-bore carburator for a Holley.

Can't help with the heat shield, but this was on a Boss...……….. F'n idiot! But then again, people did weird stuff back then without knowledge or thinking.

Case in point, back in 1980, I was looking for a replacement car for my 71 302 fb. I found a 351 Boss, but the engine had been removed and sold to put in a pulling tractor of all things. It had been replaced with a 390. Then I found a 72 Q code that I owned 11 years and stupidly sold in 1991. Many years later, I found out the original motor had been frozen and replaced with a Boss block and heads. No wonder that car was fast.

D1AZ-9A603-A was a single metal shroud used for all 1971 351 engines including H code 351-2V, M code 351-4V and R code Boss 351. D1AZ-9A603-A was sourced from the 71 full size Fords with a 400 engine.
