1971 Mach1 Resurrection

Hello all! My name is Gilbert and this is my current project - a 71 Mach 1. I do resto work from home and play Mr. Mom for my 5 kids. I picked this up in ABQ, NM about 7 weeks ago. With any luck I'll be jammed and ready for paint in two more weeks. I'm going to back to the original light pewter paint and I'll black out the interior as most of it has already been done. As of today all the jams are painted. I'll wet sand the body this week and be ready to paint.

Thanks for the welcome! No kids helping at this point. Maybe this week during spring break.

The other site didn't seem to have much response - I'm hoping to get some technical help as I go along.

Thanks guys! I do restoration work from home so it's not really fair to compare my timeline with you guys who work for the man all week.

Is there a good source for power window switch parts? Several of mine are broken where the chrome tab sits. I've no luck finding parts.

9 years not to bad...Mine came off the road in 89..But 6 years of my down time was from the shop that jerked me..Considering I started the end of June 2010 & didn't work at all on the car the month of august I've got 8 months to where I'm at now..& you've seen the amount of work I've done..If I wasn't going away for July & august I bet I would be real close to done.

I like to see when people get work done instead of procrastinating. Good work and some of the part vendors on here might be able to help with the power window switches.
