71 Mustang - project car
I was looking a pair of 68-70 floor pans today I ordered a while back and noticed the driver side does not look to be the same dimensions as my car. I'm restoring a 71 coupe, and the drive side of my car seems to narrow towards the pedals more than the 68-70 pan. I was told these would fit my car -Have any of you used the pans? Was this a problem?

The passenger side went in without issue.

Biggest problem with them in a 71-3 is you have to hammer the pan ribbing flat to get them to sit on the frame rail.

Plus you will have 4 holes in each pan for the seat track studs

The correct 71-3 pans are available

Yes, I went with the cheaper option...Won't my that mistake again. But other than the ribbing not matching, it should fit on the driver side?

Yes they will fit.

You should be able to roll it up by the tunnel / pedals, get it in place and hammer it back down.
