SEM vinyl paint color is not what I hoped for. I have tried SEM Sailcloth (15603) and White (15313). The sailcloth is kinda grey and the white is well.....white. I had some omni-pak blend white that matches the seat covers very well. The pivot cover I am holding is omni-pak and the installed one is 15313 white. SEM has a 15103 Super White that appears to have more tan in it. There also is a 15003 Phantom White that looks to have even more tan. The shop I usually get this stuff from is closed on the weekends so looking for alternate soruces. Chime in with any thoughts.

Crazy how many different shades, tones and colors "white" can mean.... blows your mind! 🤪 I know this doesn't translate exactly, but I had an original 1966 Parchment pony interior and the hinge covers were not a match.

Got dash install completed and rear view mirror on. I installed a bluetooth speaker board along with 2 downward firing small speakers tucked under dash. I mounted the amp board in the glove box. I only used existing bolt holes for install but did use some brackets I got from Amazon to mount the speakers. Speaker pic does not reflect the final mounting bracket arrangement. Extensive fitting and modification of the brackets was necessary.

Got door sorta installed. Been looking at videos. Very good 68 Mustang video out there but those doors are much smaller. I did not observe any sloppiness in my hinges but I am unable to get the back of the door aligned. I was able to get them better aligned prior to paint. Is there a good solo trick to this or is a second person really necessary? Or should I just install new hinge pins and bushings? I do have a door cradle but do not have the correct floor jack for it. Should I get the correct floor jack?

First time both doors have been latched closed in 28 yrs. Door gap on rear upper passenger side is not great but about the best I can do. No idea how to explain this except for poor quality control or possible body flex? This was noticed prior to paint and I may take it to get checked/straightened but not a huge priority atm.

From your photos the door alignment looks pretty damn good!

Thanks! Very uneven at the back of the passenger door but it is fairly even at the bottom. I sacrificed some at the bottom to make the back look better. This pic shows the door a little forward but the bottom gaps very consistent. You can see the back gap is bigger at the top. It may be one of those things most people will not notice (still need to cut and buff most of the paint)

Got some work done on the new door panels. I had some not so nice original panels where the trim was still nice. The latch area was a bit tricky and not sure it is quite done. I still need to get some hardware to adapt the original sheet metal clips to the new panels (the ones that retain the door pull and the latch plastic thingies)

Those cups around the latch were the hardest for me…mine still don’t fit great…

I found when doing the door release trim on my door panels that I needed to remove the foam behind the depressed vinyl area for the trim piece to fit in nicely and for the little positioning tabs to catch on the panel. This step and making sure the trim piece was held into position in the panel before tightening the vertical screw made the trim fit like factory.

That did help immensely. Thanks for sharing the tip.

Got the top sorted and installed. Not overly happy with the rear bow. Some small wrinkles. From what I have read those will come out with some sun. Started to install carpet and realized I need to install shifter base first. Looked at what I have and bought repop stuff so that is now delayed.

Installed interior windshield trim pieces. They do not fit well. Comments appreciated as to how to get better fitment. Installed in original holes so they should represent how it left factory.
Here’s mine, about the same, the visor will hide some gaps…I have a feeling mine isn’t quite right, I have air coming in near the bracket, so water will also…

That looks pretty much like mine. I guess I expect too much as far as fit quality goes LOL. The coupe and fastback parts fit so much better in that area.
