I had to remove the speedometer cluster. Now the engine will not start. Does the cluster have to be installed for engine to start?

Can you post pics of what you removed? I guess I’m not sure what the speedometer cluster is. If you pulled apart one of the two harness connectors that are very close to the steering column, that would do it.

If you have a factory tach in the dash, then disconnecting it will cause the car to start when cranking but stop when you remove the key to RUN. If this is the case, simply jumper the male and female pins from the underdash harness, bypassing the tach itself.
