Hello, I have the estate sale 1972 mustang with 351 Cleveland with factory AC but I'm missing the pulley and clutch and pulley for water pump I think, what diameter AC pulley do I need ? found a 7" one is that correct? Thanks, Anyone have a water pump pulley that will work, see picture of my motor attached. IMG_8963 (1).jpeg

I'm not sure that's a factory AC compressor?
You can tell it is cause it says mustang on it. :D
It looks pretty close to stock to me. Minus the artistic liberty they took with the cover. Then the clutch, idler, and water pump pulleys. Not sure about 72, but my 73 had the power steering cooler mounted to the top where that killer "mustang" plate is. It may be a reman? There's a tag on it near where the big hoses connect.

It's a factory style York compressor. Just buy a clutch with the 6.25" pulley and an idler pulley to get it all set. You don't need a water pump pulley since the belt for the AC doesn't ride on the water pump.

Its not just the idler pulley, right? It is on a little arm that swings back and forth to adjust it. He doesn't appear to have that arm or the bolts for it.

The idler pulley positions the belt so its a straight drop down to the front rib on the crank pulley. the AC belt doesnt need to touch the water pump pulley.

Thanks guys for all your help. I found a York compressor with a 7" pulley for 25 bucks on Craigs list locally. I will order the tensioner from Rock auto. Then to get an AC shop to hook it all up and charge it.
