So I've been offered a nice 71 351 mach. Unfortunately (for me) It has factory Manual Brakes and manual steering.

What's involved with the conversion to factory type power brakes and power steering.

Is this a practical idea both in terms of parts and labour cost? Is it all just bolt on?

Anyone here done this changeover that can offer an insight?

Thanks

The power brake conversion was recently discussed here:

Even though it is basically a bolt on unless you have a donor car for the parts it might be easier to get an after market conversion.

The power steering is also straight forward, all bolt on, with the difficulty in finding the parts. You'll need:

The power steering box

New rag joint

Hoses

Power steering pump

Mounting bracket for the pump

A new crankshaft pulley, if yours doesn't have 2 or 3 grooves

Possibly a new water pump pulley.
