Well after 28yrs sitting in my basement rebuilt on engine stand, she’s alive! I ran it long enough to burn the new off, break the cam in and do some tuning. Rebuilt trans at same time and it takes forward and reverse, keeping finger crossed it will shift when driven. 😁

Great news on firing her up and after such a long period, well done. You must be proud. It brings a smile to your face and a cheer when they start breathing again.
I rebuilt my 351c 18 years ago, done 800miles and then it went into a long storage time of 17 years while my Mustang went into a restoration project. I pulled the plugs and gave each cylinder a good dose of engine oil, and hand cranked her over a couple of times and replaced the plugs. I hand cranked her over every year. After 17 years I removed the plugs, hand cranked then spun her over on the starter motor to get rid of the oil in the cylinders, and to prime the oil pump. Got good oil pressure, and then fired her up. She started first time and runs with 65psi oil pressure. I was a very happy bunny, bouncing around the garage with glee. Great times had
