Wow, I was looking at the specs on the Pistons: 720 HP and 795 Ft-lbs torque.

I have ridden in a few (not many) cars with greater than 500 ft/lbs of torque and they were all ferocious!

One of the most impressive was a heavily modified 427 (FE motor) that was transplanted into a 1971 Boss 351 ! It might have been closer to 600 ft/lbs. Car pulled VERY hard.

Another was a Kenne Bell preparred 455 1970 Buick GS-X. It was equally impressive. -And a great looking car for a BUICK!!!

I wish I had the specs on those cars' respective motors... But your car will have quite a bit more power than either of those!!!

I actually have less than 30,000 miles on "Fire" right now.

Of course, most of those were 1/4 mile at a time.

No. I actually told him there was no rush as I am going to have to remove the 428 from "Fire" for the install into the '69.

That having been said, I think Dave will probably get to it pretty soon. I think he was balancing the crank this past week. I will give him a call next week to see what the "schedule" looks like.

Weekly Update as of January 6, 2013

According to my Engine Builder, he has cleaned and checked out the crankshaft and hot tanked the block. Everything looks fine.

Plans this week is to prepare the block for boring. He has also confirmed that uploading the dyno testing to You Tube is not a problem.

Y'all still have time to provide your estimates for maximum horsepower and torque. Who knows, your estimate may be the one that "wins!"
