Awesome! Anyone want to guess how I came up with those numbers?
Yes, I can hardly wait to get it installed into "Fire" (my '73 Mach 1) but first I have to pull the 428CJ for its install into my '69 Mach 1.WOW BT, that made some pretty good thunder! Congrats!!!!

Yes, I too, utilized the build in that "Popular Hot Rodding" issues (and others) as a "starting point" when I contemplated my approach.yeah, I was stewing the details of a 545 build when I came across that article and light shone from the heavens above and all was well. I'm basically going to used that build as a blueprint. Like you did though, I've been tossing about the grind because obviously somewhere a little over 500 your just building bragging rights unless you start contemplating tubs and such.
Looks great!Well, the motor is now in Memphis and awaiting the install.

It will still be a couple of months before I complete both "installs" but at least I can "see" it every day. LOL

Do you anticipate any hood clearance issues with that intake?
Yes, here you go!Can we get some pics of how the 428 looks in the 73 engine bay before you pull it?
Can you post information of the fan model # you are using or a link to it?I went with a Derale dual fan unit.
