You're reading it correctly. It's a one year only, one car/application only carb that everyone tossed in the trash back in the day when they went with a Holley 750 double pumper that actually worked. If you're restoring a Boss, you probably need one. Supply and demand.

Mr. Bob Perkins use to have a NOS one on ebay for $8,000.  I have said many times if you buy a Boss 351 and have to go find all the correct parts and buy and then do a ground up restore you will have probably double in the car what it could sell for. The last front chin spoiler I saw for a Boss 429 I think was $5,000 probably sold for $20.00 new.
