Brakes don't fit on new rotors!!!

Hey guys I'm having an issue I hope someone can help with. I am currently redoing the front suspension and brakes on my 72Q vert. I ordered new calipers, pads, and rotors (listed below) and everything was listed as OEM style.

I assembled the new calipers that look identical to the original ones and installed the brake pads but when I set the caliper on the rotor its just too tight. Calipers are compressed as far as they will go and when I say tight I mean fully engaged brakes tight. Has anyone run into this issue with their rebuild?

The way I see it I have two options, I either turn down the brand new rotors, or somehow wear the brake pads down some.

What would you do?

Factory rotor thickness is .940". Factory spec on the pad friction material is .333" for the outer, .362" for the inner.

Have you assembled just one side or both ?
Please keep in mind that wheel bearing cups, cones and seal can have an effect on where that brake rotor sits in relationship to the spindle and the caliper bracket.
one bearing cup not being fully seated in the rotor could be causing an issue, time to start measuring things.
Too tall of a caliper piston comes to mind as well and overall thickness of each brake pad .

I am just tossing in an, "Oh, by the way," in here just to help you avoid a problem. If you are using the oem or oem-like single piston floating caliper units, it is possible to install them on the wrong side of the car. If that happens you will never be able to correctly bleed the front brake lines. If this is something you are already aware of, then you can stop here and just go about your day. But, if this is news to you I suggest you go to the last page of the attached PDF document and make certain your calipers are oriented correctly. If they are not oriented correctly the fix is simple. Just swap sides of the car.
