I'm sorry that I never identified myself as an original owner but I am. I ordered the car 2/29/72 and received it 4/17/72. It was very exciting ordering / building it. I had looked at the brochures for months before placing the order. My only regret is that I couldn't afford the AM/FM radio at the time. Don65stang came by for a look-see in March and knew about it then. He notified me of the "Original Owner Award" yesterday.

I remembered BT and those two from their posts and Tom because he's a local friend. I didn't know of the others you captured. Good job Mike with the idea for this award.

I had a set of snow tires for my 73 vert back in the day. I even bought two extra wheels for the snow tires. But the snow tires were not much help, so it rarely went out in the snow.

Here I am in 1978, with about 18000 miles or so on my Mach 1. This picture taken in Irvine, Ca.

The other picture was taken in Coos Bay around 1989. Car had about 200,000 miles on it at that point.

I got it with 18 miles on it, she now has 350,000 miles...lots of driving all over the country for me over the years! (and unfortunately, lots of accidents and lots of paint jobs...)

But she still looks good and runs great!
