I was watching this show on BBC america...Not too bad..And one part he gets buried alive..But first he lets a western rattle snake bite him..An says if he does not get the anti venom in time he will die.....He does it and gets out...And some guy gives him a shot of so called anti venom and they run off all happy and jump in the rigs like everything is ok.
Well...My cousin when i was a teenager out hunting western rattle snakes got bit by a small one...And only one fang for a quick sec...We ran him over to the hospital in a matter of minutes...The docs and nurses are freaking out...Cause last guy they got in there 5 years before him died....they told us...There is no real anti venom...There is a choice you have to do...You can either try to fight the venom or take the horse serum...they told him 50/50 chance the snake bite will kill him...40% chance the horse serum would kill him...He took the horse serum of course...And then the docs said your mouth will be feeling like it is opening really fast and wide..But it is not...He said it sure was..Felt like his mouth was opening really wide and fast.....then they said he would get tunnel vision..And he did...Said it was like he was looking threw a peep hole....then after a few days in the hospital..They let him out and he still had to keep track of the venom in his body...his arm swelled up real big..and they made marks up his arm to see how far it got...It almost made it too his heart...He was not allergic or anything....But these fools on tv..Acted like it was no big deal and with one phoney shot..He was ok and they was all happy and smiles!! I call BBC or hollywood bull crap on that...Been there...I think they had a devenomized snake...Bad thing is..Some fool will watch this and think...Ohh no big deal if i get bit by a rattle snake "shakes head"
