Haha yes it is! A wierd thing is that the metal under the panel is galvanized or what you call it, it's impossible to weld if you don't clean the metal very carefully!

Ordered the brake system today together with subframeconnectors and a safetyloop, damn what a big bang in the budget

Right now I am preparing the car for the new rear quarter panel pieces, I found some more rust repair that went really wrong! The pieces there are on both sides of the trunkfloor has been repaired, but instead of cutting the old ones completely away, then the person who made it has attached on the outside of the old one with two or three spot weld and then fiberglass for the rest!!! I could'nt live with that, so I am making it as good as I can!

Ah, that looks and sounds quite familiar to me...

Hope all goes well and wish you a good hand by doing this - I have done one side anyway. The other site is the same?!?

Have you been in the same situation? I am allmost ready to weld on the rear quarter pieces now, got everything else welded up nice yesterday! That's a step in the right direction! And yes the other side has the same awful repair made to it, so I will have to make that too

Got some of the suspension parts in. Everything is from Global West! Damn they are making really nice stuff, I really like the upper control arms, it is really a killer piece of art!

Are you going spring/ shock or coil over? Are those 2" drop leafs in back? That looks like the perfect one stop shopping setup. Well done.

I am going spring/shock to make it look a little like stock so I have the best upportunity to get the car streetlegal here in Denmark. Those leafsprings are with a 2" drop and the front springs should be with a 2" drop too if I remember correctly! Yeah I am pretty satisfied so far, so nice that it was possible to order a complete package from the same company! Can't wait to try it on the street!

It's sad when they give you trouble for making the car different. In this case likely better than stock with the beefier and stiffer suspension. Good luck. I may need luck too since they look to be cracking down more than before around here as well.

Yeah that's sad, I can't see what the problem is for doing that, you are actually just making the car more safe someway! But thanks, I think it will be a nice upgrade together with the big brake system..
