Absolutely. Just do a quick search on google about ANYTHING Procomp. Its mostly Chinese knock off junk. I wouldn't run any of their stuff in my car. But i have heard of people having decent luck with their bare aluminum heads and putting in quality valvetrain components. I guess the castings are decent but the parts they put in them are absolute junk. Even the guides have a tendency to wear prematurely or break and fail.

Thanks. Doing some more checking now

ProComp Electronics aka Speedmaster79 is a knockoff company through and through. They gained notoriety with their ProComp 6AL ignition. They were eventually sued by MSD and lost for copycat tactics.

I also recently found out that they had a "deal" with Terry Parker of Parker Funnelweb intake fame. Instead of distributing his product, they sent it to China, copied his product and put him out of business.

Their R&D is "rob and duplicate", not putting in money and hours to provide a better product than the other guy. IMO, as an employee of a performance parts company, I wouldn't spend a dime on their products.

I would be wondering what else is inside the engine. If they put procomp heads on, what other cheap stuff was used? Not trying to be a jerk, but I sure would want to check everything. Hopefully everything works out for you.

i would check the internals of the procomp heads! If they have procomp springs, guides, and valves you can kiss that motor goodbye in a very short period of time.

Ok I sold the procomp heads. Looking at either trick flow 325’s or Kaase p51’s

Any input?

P51s would be my first choice, but trickflow makes a nice product also.

Both are nice heads. You can’t go wrong with either ones but if it was me I would be leaning towards the Kaase heads. That’s just purely my preference.
