So on both of the door mirrors on my '73 Mach 1, the mirror glass is loose in its frame. it won't stay in position. basically it seems like whatever friction fittings used to exist inside the mirror housing is completely gone. Is there a way to get inside the mirror housings to replace the fittings? or does the entire mirror housing need to be replaced. because I have what CJPonyParts calls the "racer" style mirrors, all of the fittings are shrouded behind the housing behind the glass. I don't really want to buy new housing because then I have to paint them. has anyone else dealt wit this issue? thanks
