What would you do? I don't know if I can do it, although it did kinda get me interested.

Guy wants my LTD and wants a straight up trade for my LTD.

I'm not sure I can do it. But then again, I'm not sure what my car is worth. I haven't had it appraised yet.

I can tell you it's a matching #s 390 with a C6. Everything has been built. Has a Ford 9" with Strange axles and 3.70 gears. The tranny was rebuilt with a shift kit, manual valve body and quick silver shifter.

We went through the motor and resealed everything. Has a pertronix ignitor in the distributor, head work and quite a few other things.

It was repainted last February and it only has 44k original miles.

What would you do? I can't say I've ever seen another 67 LTD around here.....

Here's the link to that Roush Stang; http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/4748900708.html

Personally you could not talk me into giving that car up. My dad is restoring a 67 Galaxie right now and they are great cars for the age. One of my favorite non-sports car drivers.

3 Link suspension which makes them drive awesome and a punchy V8 with a little work.

I am a huge fan of the new Mustangs but you have a beautiful piece of history right there and it looks tastfully built from those pictures.

Thanks. I needed that. I really don't want to, but part of me wants to add something modern to the collection. My wife told me I'd regret it if I got rid of it.

Keep your LTD, it's a great looking car. That kind of Mustang isn't owned by the little old lady from Pasadena, and has probably been hammered (I know I would have).

Good point. I thought about that also. Not much out there I'd really consider a trade for considering how hard an LTD can be to find.

Now if somebody showed me a 69-70 Mustang Fastback or a 70-71 Torino, I'd have to seriously consider that.

I wouldn't do it simply because I hate those aftermarket lights on the Mustang. rofl

Seriously, your LTD is way cooler, IMHO. ::thumb::

Interestingly enough though, they're selling the Mustang "because of family issue's" [sp. intentional], but will accept trade for a boat?! What kind of "family issue's" warrant trading a modern Mustang for a boat, or a '60s Muscle Car with a big-block?!

I like the LTD also but here is some info on value of it...

Can you find another Roush relatively easily? Yes.

Another LTD in comparable shape? Probably not.

Do you feel a certain disconnect with modern vehicles? If so, don't even think about it. Answering "yes" to this question guarantees that you will eventually regret the decision to trade.

^^ Yeah, what he said! ^^

My personal "irreplaceable stuff that I once had" list makes me queasy every time I think of if.

Big dummy me to have created it in the first place.

Funny thing is I have a built 427 that's never been started just sitting on a stand staring at me. Part of me wants to pull that 390 and store it.

Keep the LTD! I love a Mustang as good as any true blue Ford man! From my Dad's 66 to my brothers 2014 we've had many Mustangs over the years. But there is just something about those big ole Fords! They make excellent sleepers cause you can just about stuff anything under the hood. I saw one in Charlotte at a car show with a SOHC 427! A customer at the Ford dealer I worked at told me he had actually ordered a 66 LTD with a "R" code 2-4 barrel 427 with a vinyl roof and 7 Liter wheel covers! He said the looks were priceless as he "busted" many big block GTOs and SS Chevelles with his Grandpa's car! Roush cars are going to be around in one form or another for a long time. As time marches on these beautiful old Galaxies, XLs and LTDs will continue to disappear for ever as Father Time takes its toll.

I'd say HELL NO to the trade. The LTD rocks! I also think you should add a new thread in the other vehicles section and post a couple hundred photos of your car.

I like Kurt's idea too of another LTD.
