When a cylinder is bored out to 0.030-inch, is the new standard head gasket still used or something larger?

+1. I used a standard head gasket after boring 30 over and she runs like a champ. I spray painted both sides with some old leftover green and black spray paint before installing.

Not sure if a 351C is the same but small block ford head gaskets are directional. Make sure you check.

all head gaskets have a generous cyl. opening sizes some alot more than others. shop around on summit for different gasket bore and thickness choices. a 460 bore is 4.36", but most gaskets are 4.5"

The C is directional and it is easy to screw it up. Double Check!!
