I was 22  when it was made and bought it on 9/20/73

I was born 1/3/69. So I would have been 1 year 8 months and 5 days.

My car was born on 2-2-72. I was born on 1-24 -64 so I was 8 and a few days.

My 72 Mach1 was delivered June 28th 1972 and I was 16 1/2 the legal driving age in Massachusetts as long as you completed a drivers Ed course. How convenient.

Build date 05/73, so the last month of my junior year in high school -- I was 16.5 years old. And it was sold that year for the first time just a few days *after* my birthday.

.......hmm....at the risk of looking like the oldest member of this site...I bought my '71 Mach as a returning GI in the spring of '72.  It was a left over demo, had 5,000 or so miles on it for $2995.  Hung my dog tags on the rear view mirror and drove it home.  It now has around 40,000 miles on it and yes the dog tags are still hanging from the mirror.
