Just finished reading The Siege of Malta, by the late British author, Ernle (not Ernie) Bradford (who also wrote on Hannibal, Julius Caesar, etc.,); Malta also mentioned by Dr. Luke in Acts 27-28. Malta also seems to have acquired quite a reputation in WW2 with the RAF's defense against the Nazi's. Interesting place. Resilient people. We all salute the Maltese!

The island is minuscule in size but history put us in high places , it was a major hub in WW2 , we're big in the Christian religion too , St Paul shipwrecked here and gave us our Christianity also mentioned in the holy Bible , some might remember The summit held between R Reagan and Gorbachov took place in Malta, and of coarse the famous Maltese Falcon , I bet many of you didn't know some of the world's most famous Movies like Gladiator , Christopher Columbus, Troy, and Midnight Express , and many others were mainly filmed in Malta , I'm very glad to hear you took interest in the islands history and as I say to many of co workers who are from all over the globe as I work offshore on Oil rigs ,the island is a great holiday destination and many first time visitors end up coming back .
