Can anyone recommend a good Mustang parts supplier other than CJ's

I have ordered stuff from many of the dealers, but by far Don at Ohio Mustang has helped me the most. One thing if he doesn't have the part you can't order it online. Unlike Cj's who will take your order and money but forget to tell you its back ordered and who knows when it will be in. Another thing I have found is that he is brutally honest to a fault about things. He has saved me money by selling me a repop part that was just as good as and original and sold me the original when the repops are junk. Built two cars from him now. Just my .02. Read reviews on this site as they are many.

Thanks to all that replied. I think I've had it with CJ's. NO help in locating a lost order. It's been over a week and no-one knows where it is. I get an automated response from a computer that says they are sorry for the inconvenience , that's a real big help  and  yep it's already paid for. Again Thanks I'll be changing parts suppliers from here on.

Don of OMS for sure.  Half the parts of my Mustang came from Don including

the M-code engine.  My engine had a cracked cylinder wall not repairable, the

Lord works in mysteries ways.  So Don had this never fired Cleveland long block

sitting on a pallet soaked in machine oil and wrapped in plastic.  Don "donated"

the engine very good price.  For non Mustang specific parts I use Summit Racing

and NPD  sometimes Marti Auto.

First choice is always Don at Ohio Mustang Supply. Best parts first time, no bait and switch. Chuck

Give some love to West Coast Classic Cougars as well, especially if you need brake components like rebuilt PB boosters, etc. Top notch guys IMO, plus informative vids for DIY. 👌🏻

Don is a top notch source that's for sure, but sadly his site can't handle international orders, so can't order there :(
But know that he also offers tons of his stuffs on Ebay and unlike many US vendors on this platform, he has the global shipping option on! Which saves big time on shipping for us far way people.

Here are my personal experiences and recommendations:

Don from Ohio Mustang Supply is always top notch, ordered many times from him over the years, has used parts also. For our overseas Mustang owners he used to make packets as cheap as possible so shipping and customs would not eat us alive.

But we do not have to forget Mike from Motorcity Mustang from who I ordered great used parts also over the years. Reasonable shipping prices and excellent services, is on the same step as Don.

Don and Mike aren't too bad to go in the shed to make some photos for you of explicit parts or searching for them. Awesome!

Same for West Coast Cougar Classics. Great source of parts. And if the part is a bad reproduction they talk about. Have great videos and how-to-do's also!

Rocketman and Midlife come into the game if you have an electrical problem or demand. I have ordered a Amperemeter to Voltmeter conversion from Rocketman a few years ago, all went fine, excellent service. I had not any need from Midlife yet but heard nothing but only good about him. And he has a good sense of humor...

I ordered several times directly from AMK! They have also excellent customer service, good shipping prices and simply the best hardware for our Mustangs. Don't be shy to order from them directly if you don't see anything on the usual sites and suppliers. There is more than you think - they reproduced every bolt and washer.

Rockauto - who not?!? Cheap, fast and if you know what you want - perfect.

MACs Auto Parts I had a few orders since and it was every time a good experience.

Also Marti Auto Works, Dennis and Daniel Carpenter or Kentucky Mustang, Motorcitymusclecar, Speedway Motors, Summit, Maryland Mustang, I have ordered from and all went well!

NPD shipping prices are nowadays sadly over the top for us overseas guys so I avoid ordering from them despite they have excellent service and supply of parts.

CJ I had that backorder problem too and had to wait way too long. But in the end I got my parts all in once.

In the end I can say that I generally prefer the smaller businesses!

Boy CJ Pony does take some flack around here and another forum I visit! I live close and not had that many issues with them. I can say some of the parts there are junk! I gave them the riot act when a heater core I got from them and had ONE mile on puked coolant on my girlfriend’s new shoes. Not been there much recently.

Tried using CJ's once, They lied about shipment and then stated that their carrier could not locate Australia. I would avoid using CJ's.

CJ for everyday items and the rest for hard to find or OEM spec

Boy, CJ Pony is taking a beating. I have ordered from them and been pleased. They did mess up one order, I called, got a real person, and they corrected the order immediately by shipping the correct part even before I sent the wrong one back. Full refund!
My favorite is NPD in Charlotte. Forty minute drive, I go in with a long list, and drive back home. This is especially useful when buying large sheet metal parts as I do not have to pay the shipping!
Like Rock Auto for the easy stuff (brake pads, rotors, bearings, tune up stuff).

I like to drive to NPD as well, they are about an hour and half from me. Where in NC are you, I am in Augusta, Georgia. When mine is on the road (hopefully this month), we should link up somewhere.

I've restored several Mustangs over the years and highly recommend Don's Ohio Mustang.. He went to the limit for me on new and used parts. He's very dependable and cares about his customers satisfaction..
