My Car
1971 Mach 1 Mustang
Hey guys my nephew just sent me a few links to some videos he made while we were working on his Mustang, so i thought I would share them with you guys. You will probably want to turn the volume down or OFF. Has some crazy music on there. Remember hes only 16 and listens to some high quality music. But any how enjoy the videos. He is working on the last one to show the finished product.

And a couple finished pics.

Looks like a nice resto. I don't know why these cars get such a bad wrap. I kinda like them. I spent a lot of my childhood being carted around in the backseat of a '74 Ghia version.

I'd drive a II if I owned one.

My nephew sent me a pic of his new wheels he got on his mustang. I'm proud of the kid. He has been treating that car very well and taking very good care of it!!! Glad he hasn't wrapped it around anything . Still saving up for the 2.3 turbo coupe motor swap!

Sorry but its just a cell phone pic!

Funny bringing up II's.. I never did understand their bad rep either, but.. After passing on the '72 Coupe, I started looking again, and found a 1977 Cobra II - 302, 4 Speed I'm going to look at. Black w/Gold.

{thumbs up} Looks great....Good cars...Strong frames too...I just sold a 1974 mach 1 fast back this winter..Only year mustang that did not have a v8 option..lol...And my cus had the mach 1 302..Starter went out...Had to jack up the motor just to get it out and a new one back in..Very tight engine bay with 302 with full AC..lol

My brother had a 76 hatchback with a 302 and it was a pain in the arse to work on.

Have to say great job. Mine was my first car on my 16th birthday, I turn 48 next month. Yep it's still hear although mine was light blue. I toyed with the mach spoiler myself, ended up with a universal wing back in 85. I think i'll put a cobra r wing it one of these days. Been two many years with one to go without. Sorry low quality pics, no good ones on my laptop.

Wow now those are some meats under that ass end!!!! Looks like fun!! The spoiler we put on is a 69-70 spoiler. fits the car pretty well. His car was originally about the color blue that yours is. My oldest brother bought the car in light blue when he got it for his daughter. he painted it and fixed it up for her 16th birthday. Never got to drive it on the road. He lives in town and someone side swiped it and pushed it into the car in front of it right after he finished painting it. Then itsat for a couple years and my other brother bought it for his son for his 16th birthday and then I painted it for him. So its been in the family for quite a while. My nephew saves every dime he makes to put into his car. hes a good kid, and will be graduating high school this spring.

Now there is 3 guys I would have loved to have seen grow old...one can only imagine what they would have become

15" wide Protracs, full Art Morrison 2" by 3" sub frame. Narrowed Lincoln Mk5 disc braked rear cut down to 39.5" end to end. If you get a chance just drive it once. Not the most powerfull, but I've never drove a better handling stock Stang. Used to be accused of turning it on a dime an having change:D Of course a 71 351C 4V changed the handling a bit. I used to have mustang gt 245/60/15 out back with the 4.11's would be dust at more than a quarter throttle, let alone @60 letting loose.

Unfortunately not, it hasn't seen the light of day since 04:( No money kids/life in the way. Let aloe a 2year detour restoring my buddy's 69 bronco and building a monster truck, restoring 2 stangs for my daughters. Currently the 73 FB for my 18yr old. Have to finish my monster truck, so I'm optimistic for next year. WA really sucks without shop!!!!!!
