Lots of stuff from My last update.

1. Finished adding most of the engine bay components. See pic.

2. Some of the bigger challenges were the custom trans lines for the 4r70w. Modified a set for FMX lines. Became more complicated with the hooker headers.

3. Finished working out the custom linkage to use the stock shifter.

4. Finished detailing the dash and finding clean bezels.

5. Added all the fluids. No leaks so far.

6. Finished installing some of the dash to close the loop on electrical. Tested a few things. Lights, wipers(didn't know how this was gonna work out as I completely disassembled/reassembled). See pic.

Things remaining before startup(hope to be in two weeks):

1. Hook up carb and TPS for 4r70w controller.

2. Add spark plug wire, distributor/cap.

3. Turn key.

From there i will do a pre-fit of all my panels, measure for a drive shaft, then off to body and paint.

Everything looks great so far. Can't wait to hear it running! I ran into some pretty ugly bondo work today and what was underneath was even worse. My passenger quarter panel was rescinded back in high school and they did a bang up job...

I ran into that on my passage fender. I found really clean front replacement as it needed to much rework.

Decided to save some money and start stripping the car down. What a pain!! I have three paint jobs to remove. The nice thing is when I take it to body/paint there won't be any hiding work under the paint that could drastically change the bill.

Other updates include:

1. Refinished the dash, ducting and wire harnesses. Fit all the aftermarket dash/inst bezels. The dash look brand new with the exception of one clean Lighter bezel and she's perfect.

2. Refinished the steering col.

3. Finishing up 4r70w trans lines. Using FMX with some modifications.

Got the car running after being down and apart fro two years.

Special thanks to Mike and Nik for taking a satureday out. Sorry for the picture quality. The video is at first startup so it was tuned out and runs flawlessly.

Your welcome Jim. I was happy to be apart of it.

Coming along nicely!!

Thanks John,

The front bumper it a total PITA! I have had to make a lot of mods to the brackets to allow me to adjust. I will have 4hrs messing with it and still have to tweak it some more. I have a whole new appreciation for what you went through to get yours as nice as it is!

That was one of the easiest startups I have had. You did a great job getting her back together! I got your text with the pic of the driveshaft, last piece to drive it!

Haven't posted in a while.

1. Finished most of my bright work with a few things at the chrome shop

2. Sand blasted the vert top frame and painted. Waiting for the car to get back from paint to re-assemble

3. Finishing up seats. stripped the frames and track and repainted.

Had a guy do the back one seat covers. I'm doing the front ones.

4. Re-conditioned the wheels. Need to do the black after i seal them.

5. Lots of work on the car working on fitment before going to paint and body. There now and should be back in a few months.

Stuff to do before car comes back.

Paint all the interior parts.

Buff out scratches from windows.

Finish detailing and assembling the front grill.

Let me know how buffing out those scratches goes, it would save a ton of money if I didn't have to buy new door and quarter glass! Oh, and it looks like you have my seats almost done, i will come pick them up soon! LOL
