Let me know how buffing out those scratches goes, it would save a ton of money if I didn't have to buy new door and quarter glass! Oh, and it looks like you have my seats almost done, i will come pick them up soon! LOL
I have heard mixed results on the scratces. Most of mine are on the felt lines. Every one has an opinion on how to do this so I'll try a few ways and see what happens. As with most of my restoration I dial in the possess and get really good at what im working on right at the end. I should have done parallel restorations as the second one would only take me one quarter the time.

I've been Scott's window tutorial and I'm thinking new glass if the polishing goes south. Price he got is a lot cheaper then I thought it would be.

Just finished up the grill. It was an original Ford tooling Daniel carpenter Grill. Unfortunately it had a lot of water marks from the tooling along with a few scratches that took me a to while polish out. It was either this or paint it. The nice thing about just polishing out the scratches is that I can fix it later if it gets scratched again where as paint I have to dismantle and do the whole thing again.

Haven't posted in a while.

1. Finished most of my bright work with a few things at the chrome shop

2. Sand blasted the vert top frame and painted. Waiting for the car to get back from paint to re-assemble

3. Finishing up seats. stripped the frames and track and repainted.

Had a guy do the back one seat covers. I'm doing the front ones.

4. Re-conditioned the wheels. Need to do the black after i seal them.

5. Lots of work on the car working on fitment before going to paint and body. There now and should be back in a few months.

Stuff to do before car comes back.

Paint all the interior parts.

Buff out scratches from windows.

Finish detailing and assembling the front grill.
Hey bro, I was curious what upholstery you ended up using? Brand, and did you replace the foam underneath. Who did you buy it from? Thanks, it turned out great!

I ended up using TMI and new TMI foam. I got it from CJ on sale. I was on the fence with them or distinctive. From what I read Distinctive(can get this from Don @ OHIO) has better quality but TMI has better match. Don't plan on using my car much so I went with TMI. In the end I think I just pick something and ran with it. Even with new foam and covers you need to add batting to fill out the creases. Up at the top by the head rest there is a listing wire that goes across(like by your neck). Instead of using hog ties on this use wire ties. Leave them somewhat loose and when the whole seat is done slowly tighten them, Not so much that you leave the very common creases on the side. I still need to fix mine so they don't have that. You can see in my picture. Hit me up when you get ready to do them.

That's bright. Looking good! Ryan

Finally able to give an update on my car. Back from paint and slowly reassembling. I'm ordering new glass so that's going to go in the next couple of weeks along with the interior. After that I'll put on a new top on my restored frame. Still working out the bugs on the drive line. Everything was rebuilt and I have a 4R70W that I'm working out the shift points on.

Enjoy!
