First car 351 H Code 73 Mach 1 totalled in college
I signed up for a collision repair and paint class at the local tech school. Most of the people in class are working on project cars. One guy named George uncovered his car to pull in a bay and it was a 73 Mach 1. 351 4v and C6 he doesn't know the rear gears. He has done a ton of work to it. Looks as if it was Ivy Glow with Green Deluxe interior. Only thing in it is the dash and steering wheel and it has guage package. Will try to get him to join site.

Yes he bought the car for $500 but has rebuilt engine. Put on new roof, trunk floor and taillight panel. Cowel had no rust and all frame rails were perfect.

let us know what you're able to accomplish there, i'm planning on doing the same in the spring, with hopes of getting a lot of body work done-

Well most of the adults in the class are working on projects. Class is pretty much pay to play, meaning it is like getting garage and tools for 60 hrs at $235 total. Three of us are in for the first time and the instructor is going to work with us more to get us knowledge and skills.

I took a welding class at night to learn the basics before plunking down big bucks on a MIG welder. Best $260 I ever spent! I learned there are days when you need to walk away and other days when you can do no wrong. In short order, I became a better MIG welder than the instructor (who was mostly into stick welding).

back when I was still a poor black child..... my first good job was as a welder for Chicago Bridge and Barge..... so I "get it". but I found when I welded up some panels that had been metal snipped to remove the power window units, I wasnt near as good as I used to be....but got it done.

I was going to take the welding class too but it was offered at the exact same time. We will get welding instruction though specific to automotive side.
