Here in the mountains of western N.C. we have had steady heavy rain and some wind this morning blew down some dead tree limbs. Will never get my garage drive fixed, never dries up enough to do the work. You cannot pack mud, lol.

Here in Lake Wylie SC just SW of Charlotte NC we got through it ok with just a lot of rain and some gusts of wind up to 30 mph. We were expecting it to be much worse. My thoughts and prayers are with those who did not fair so well. This was a devastating storm. I hope midlife is ok.

The wind took out my power for 25 hours. Ran generator so did not thaw fridg. Only took them 30 min. to fix but there were so many trees down there were only 29 people on our line so we were low on the list.

I just watched the news, they showed what Panama City looks like, still over 250,000 without power in that area, virtually no communications. It may be a while before we hear how Midlife fared.
