71 Mach 1. Originally 2V but going 4V soon!
Is the fitting on the drive shaft that slides into the transmission keyed so that it fits only one way. Having a hard time getting mine to slide in far enough so that the U-joint fits into the differential. Just though I would ask the knowledge base before I struggled with it again tonight. Thanks in advance. ;)

 
Has it all been together before? 9" center sections have slightly different overall lengths and aren't always interchangeable. Keep in mind that your transmission yoke will normally be discolored to indicate where it was in relationship to the rear seal in the transmission. Remember that proper fit allows for movement as the suspension is compressed and unloaded. The driveshaft is effectively "shortest" when the car is sitting on the suspension.
