Oh, and Jeff, I see you got your rims. Looking forward to the end result.

Speaking of rims: I had to find out Saturday that 18 inch rims and curbs don't really go together. Damaged my passenger side front rim, getting too close when parking. It's not bent or anything just badly scratched. BUMMER!

:-(

Thanks Mike, we're going to need to wait a few weeks for the tires before we can get the final look.

On the your rim is it coated? Can you tke a file to blend out the scratches then re-polish?

Got my hood hinges back from powder coat:D Look pretty good I think
Wow! SHINEY :D

Now i have to pull intake and clean up a little
How did you paint the letters?

Looks great!

Finished fabricating the front floor patch..just need to rust bullet the back of it Then weld it in.
I need the end of the floor pan to the firewall myself on the passenger side (and one side under the back seat). Nice Job! Been looking for an idea or someone to do it for me. I cannot fabricate parts.

Thanks Jeremy , I went to the local hobby store and picked up a pack of small paint brushes the size i used was 1/4 inch

No, they are polished and I think a shop needs to fisrt put some material back on, before polishing it. Just taking a file to them won't do.

:(

I "finally" got around to painting the blackout treatment and pinstripe on my hood. Used a hood stencil and Dupont Hot Rod Black paint, turned out really good. I also repainted the rear spoiler with the same paint while at it.Hood1.jpg

PS. When I say "I did it", I mean I prepared the hood for painting, picked out the paint and stencil then paid a local paint shop to spray it on (I don't have a paint booth or equipement to do it right).

While Jason and his cousin went to Myrtle Beach, I took the time to remove the old piece of floor from the seatbox I bought from Don at OMS. Thanks Don looks great!

What shop? Are you gonna add the side stripe?

I had the hood spayed by Shawn at Resurrection he's co-located with Lou who runs Diversified Custom Car Company in Tumwater. I'm still thinking about the side stripe, it may be to much for my car since it has the black out effect (black mirrors, black front rubber bumper, black lower body, black spoiler front and back, now the the black NASA hood.) I'm thinking the black side stripe would be to much???

By the way our Mustang club is going on a breakfast cruise tomorrow (since it's supposed to be a nice day) to the Red Wing Casino, should be fun, all Mustangs invited, club members or not.

Had a quick run against an Audi. I didn't know we were running each other so he got the jump on me but once I hit my powerband I pulled him (and then shut it down before we got going too fast)

Nice job.The hot rod black has a nice sheen to it.

FINAL ASSEMBLY IN PROGRESS!! I was able to source the hood latch support bracket and the drip rails.

Boy were they expensive....

Got the windshield and the door windows out. Now just have to remove the running lights and it's all ready for the body shop! FYI, I used the windshield removal kit from Harbor Freight and it worked awesome. Came right out, no breakage or nothing (doesn't look like it's the original windshield though).

I saw that and if I didn't have two morning appointments, I would be there.

I started trying to find an AM radio for my Sprint. The Marti report showed it came with an AM only, it has an AM/FM. Soooooo I will try to find a D2 NOS AM radio for her! Shouldn't be too tough to install.
