Something about 1967-1973 modal. Ford's designers began drawing up a larger versions even as the original was achieving sales success, and while Iacocca later complained about the Mustang's growth, he did oversee the 1967 redesign. From 1967 until 1973, the Mustang got bigger but not necessarily more powerful. The revised Mustang retained the original body structure but styling was refreshed, giving the Mustang a more massive look overall.

I'm calling BS on this

So you don't think adding a 428 CJ, 429 CJ, BOSS 351 or any 351 4V

made the cars more powerful that a 289?

All munufactures understated their horsepower and CR's. around this time. The engineers always found a way around government mandates. That's why estimated milage is estimated over a wide variety of vehicles.

Guys, we're pretty sure james23 is a troll. Just waiting for him to stop by again and see what he has to offer. We're expecting it to be SPAM, and that will be the end of that.
Uhhh... RILLY?! Ya think? ::tease::

Checked on her yesterday. Found a couple of areas where the gaps were not even. Should be an easy fix. Also moved the parts car to the shop to begin the strip down process and then off the the scrap yard for the rest. It hurts to do this but the car is toast.

They say if you don't learn something new every day, your watching too much TV!. :p Well I decided to begin that which I've been dreading. THE BODY WORK! So I go grab a front fender, tear it down as far as I can and discover the need to majorly repair/replace this part.

Go to check the other fenders' condition and it doesn't even have one. (OH HELL!)

Got lucky and caught Don from OMS at the shop and he informs me that replacement fenders did not come with that piece that was welded at the factory. Most don't replace it. He's looking for a set of them as we speak. Thanks Don! I didn't know that. :)

Found yet even MORE "pre-starting the car" things to do. Cleaned and repainted the throttle cable & installed it... 'blasted and repainting the lower steering column mounting bracket (the 'new' column's a '73 - because the brackets don't even resemble each other)... 'blasted and repainted the accelerator pedal assembly, relocated the coil because the bracket was interfering with the TV cable for the AOD... 'mostly' installed the TV cable (still need a bracket for the back half of it)... and did some more staring at the engine and wiring schematic for the Duraspark system making sure I wired it right.

Maybe tomorrow after I get her car ready for the trip (oil change, etc...) we might be ready to turn the key.

Nope... after all the Honey-Do stuff this morning, getting to the shop late, changing the oil in the Grand Prix, checking the rest of the fluids, and filling the tires with nitrogen, I'm pretty much outta time. Just gotta get my space cleaned up and organized so it can sit for the next couple weekends without anyone's panties getting in a wad.

Soon after Turkey Day, though... I'm promising myself. :D

Started with removing the undercoating in the rear fenderwells. In between I decided to take the 4 headlight buckets and make 2 good ones. Got the right side done today.

Good work, guys! Eric, keep your finger on the patience button. You're almost there, my friend!
Thanks Man! It's tough knowing I won't be able to have any 'play time' for the next few weekends, but I'm thinking also that I might actually benefit from those few weekends off in the way of regaining some lost motivation (lately, I've been slowing down a little because of seeing all the things left to do and having issues focusing on specific tasks).

But I will have my laptop with me so I can check in here now and then during the trip.
