Well even though I may not be able to keep my car I am moving stuff out the garage. My interior is sitting wrapped in bags and no where to put it.

So I decided to put my new carpet in the coupe. It's not a exact match but pretty close. I'm keeping the selling price the same is just much easier to sell with a full interior. Ran out of time to install the seats but I'll do that in the morning.

Here's how it came out.

Went to my club's annual show called "Mustangs by the Bay" here in San Diego.

There were SIXTEEN 71-73's there including mine as well as at least TEN members of this site (counting me).

We even got together for a group photo, which I will post, in a thread about the show very soon.

Today I finished my Edelbrock 1403 4V upgrade from a stock 289 2V. The before and after are below. Last 2bbl Pic 1.jpg IMG_20131006_180155.jpg IMG_20131006_180235.jpg

I've recently converted to Duraspark II ignition with a TFI coil {great upgrade car starts instantly and runs very smooth}. Hooked up center guages, oil pressure, volts, water temperature and finally installed my new fuel tank kit from CJ pony parts. It went right in with no problems. The car is really coming together after two hard years of work.

re; toploader, they are certainly worth more than a c6 in the circle between mca and aaca as well the business s that cleaned up and modified my q code to an r code on my 351 cleveland hotter than the 72 ho w/improved oilers and as i wanted neck snapping ft lbs of thrust on a lower mph dropped am edelbrock 2 barrel intake manifold and since too much engine vibration on only having 2 bolts tieing down the motor on the standard convertible relieved that problem w/smoother take off w/a hurst 700cfm mp efi. Clean looking engine department but still instaking a pair of billet wire looms. At current set up; will get to 60mph in 6 seconds and still handle the 1/4 mile @ low 12 seconds (@ 400 hp; 300 rwhp w/limited slip posi & 9.5;1 compression) migt not be set up for nmra track but is quite the stallion!

ah yes, the good old days doing so much tearing down and rebuilding might as well been a frame off job. See my photo album as well update on the profile.

Went retro.

Replaced the top picture with the bottom one.

Now the duct valve, vapor can and breather are

all properly connected and working.

I will need to change my signature.

I'm doing the opposite, looking for more air to the carb. Not sure if I like the look or not.

I would get a chrome, or some type of base and remove the snorkle

assembly. I thought about more air when the 770 Holley was put in

as the car came with 600. When you look at the size of the snorkle and the carbs base plate, the air inlet seems pretty close in size. What else bothered me was a way to connect the evaporation cannister and the breather tube. There is one port on the bottom of my chrome base where the breather connects, so no port to connect the cannister. Also, with the breather hose connected to the chrome base it is subject to carb vacuum as the connection is inside the filter.

pulled the engine,.. the gasket between the waterpump and front cover was leaking, found a stripped hole in the front cover, so dropping the oil pan and replacing the gaskets,.. also will be filling all the un necessery holes in the engine bay.., this winters project..

Gasket won't do it. Once the timing cover hole strips out you need to find anothone. Otherwise it will keep leaking.

Finished up the coilover conversation..Got her down on the ground..sitting just right... much lower than before..once the engine goes in should be perfect..Working on the video now..Should be ready for the motor by the end of the week..

Nice! That's the best talk, ever!

well the timing cover is already fixed, i took a grinder to the back of the plate and just welded some nuts behind it, more then enough room for it.works perfect now..

because of the non-availability of the timing cover gaskets over here, i made one from gasket paper, but its leaks thru the gasket material now.... so therefor i just pulled the engine so now i can do this properly.. and use the correct gaskets..
