Lake, what a coincidence, I was "headhunting" on Sunday. I bought two set of heads. Aluminium ones are Blue Thunder 460 cid heads with 100cc combustion chamber w/ chevy exhaust side. I still have a one set of BBC straight forward turbo headers and now big cc heads... one step closer to a twin turbo bigblock Mach 1?? :dodgy: :chin:

hey, just keep on dreaming... :D

To be honest I have no freaking idea at the moment which way to go. Too many irons on fire. I've got the EFI tunnelram done waiting for installation, an extra 4-bolt CJ block, 1500hp rated rods crank&pistons, +1000hp rated transmission and now the extra heads for starters.

Dreaming is cheap, doing would be expensive. Better take a deep breath and lay back for a while. I also mocked up a 5-point harness today. Lake, you're a professional welder, would you weld for my mach a cage if I end up to the more expensive option??

You're going to install the 32 valve modular later on?

Yes, I can weld your cage. I can do much more if you just want, headers, intercooler+pipings, radiator, what ever.

I dont know about modular at this moment, we will se how that 302 works...

I put in the carb spacer today. Lovely little job which went very well. The car fired up better and quicker than ever before. Can this be because of the spacer? I went for a little drive and it drove fine.

On my blog I put a bunch of pictures about how it all went. Maybe they're of some use to others. You can find my blog here:

Here's a few piccies:

Cheers,

Vincent.

I got some paint specialists in today. The paintshop that resprayed my car did an ok job, but they left orange peel on the sides. So today I got Revive to remove the orange peel. They spent a day with sanders and burnishers and removed almost all of it. It looks a load better now. Much happier with the results. I'll post some picks when the sun eventually comes out.

Hi Mark,

I take it then that you didn't discuss anything about peel in regards your final paint finish with the company that resprayed your car? Did you also discuss how many coats of top coat clear were going to be laid down. Remember, to remove peel from a finish chews into the thickness of a paint film a fair bit. Hope there is still enough meat left for future cut and polishes and scratch removal if desired.:chin:

In any event, sounds like the crew that just did your sides did a good job.

Cheers,

Greg.:)
